ACT Policing is investigating two separate indecent assaults which occurred in Latham yesterday afternoon (Monday, February 25).
Around 8.20pm a woman was walking her two dogs along a bike path adjacent to Denny Street and Solomon Crescent, Latham. She walked about 50 metres past this location when she was indecently assaulted by a male. The woman’s screams made the man run off down a footpath adjacent to Dalley Crescent, Latham.
The man is described as mid 40s, thin ‘quite fit’ build, 175-180cm (5’9”-5’11”) tall, short dark hair with grey speckles in it. He was wearing fluro green shorts and a grey T-shirt.
The second assault occurred on Stretton Crescent, Latham at around 4.30pm. A woman was walking past Latham Primary School when a man on a skateboard rode past and indecently assaulted her.
The woman yelled out and the man headed off in the direction of Rudall Street and Joske Place.
The man is described of Indian or Aboriginal appearance, around 16-18 years of age, tall, slim build. He was wearing bright green shorts and had a skateboard.
