Witnesses wanted for Ainslie blaze

ACT Policing is investigating a house fire in Herbert Crescent, Ainslie, which occurred late last night (Thursday February 10).

About 11.30pm police were called to the home following multiple 000 calls. A female suffering extensive burns was transported to The Canberra Hospital and later airlifted to Concord Hospital in Sydney.

AFP Forensic Services are currently investigating the cause of the fire and enquiries are continuing.

I live just near this house and heard absolutely nothing last night. I went to bed at 10pm and got up at 6am and sleep very soundly. I only knew about this as I saw a police car parked out the front on my way to work this morning. I sincerely hope the woman is ok.
