UPDATE 2 June, 9:45 am: ACT Policing has reported that they have recovered the stolen silver Toyota Kluger in Moncrieff last night.

Police have thanked the community for their assistance.

Enquiries are continuing in relation to the occupants and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Quote reference 6813259. Information can be provided anonymously.


1 June, 5:50 pm: Police are seeking the community’s help after a woman was possibly abducted in broad daylight from north Canberra on Tuesday (1 June).

ACT Policing said at about 1:20 pm, a man wearing a blue cap allegedly grabbed and assaulted a woman while on Horse Park Drive in Casey.

“Witnesses described the man punching the woman a number of times before forcing her into a silver Toyota Kluger SUV with ACT registration YMH11M,” police said this afternoon (1 June).

They said the Kluger, which was reported as stolen on Monday, left the scene at speed but had since been seen around the City and Braddon.

Police want to find the Toyota Kluger and are asking anyone with information about its location to come forward.

The public should not approach the vehicle or any occupants.

Police are also seeking any witnesses or dash-cam footage of the incident from earlier today on Horse Park Drive.
