Tinkerbelle

After 130 days in care, Tinkerbelle is ready to find a new home!

Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Hercule Poirat and Tinkerbelle are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Tinkerbelle

Loving Tinkerbelle has been in our care for over 130 days! Despite her bully looks Tinkerbelle is a huge softy who’ll make the perfect canine companion.

This darling lady deserves the world and while she can take some time to warm up to new people, with a little bit of love and patience, you’ll need to be prepared for big loving slobbery kisses.

Tinkerbelle hasn’t had the easiest start to her life, so she’s looking for a secure home ready to give her the world! Tink loves to play outside with a tennis ball, and enjoys her daily walks with our volunteers. But, Tink is definitely a big strong girl so needs a physically capable owner who will be able to maintain her regular exercise sessions. This will make sure that Tink keeps both happy and healthy, physically and mentally.

Tink’s new home will need to have 6-foot Colorbond fencing to ensure she stays safe and secure in her new home. With the right kind of people, Tink would love a unit-style house where she can often stay inside. This lovely lady is not very fond of other dogs, so would best suit being the only pooch in her new household.

Hercule Poirat

Hercule Poirat is a little mouse looking for love.

Mouse of the Week – Hercule Poirat

Meet Hercule Poirat! This little mouse arrived at the shelter with his brothers in need of a new home. While his siblings have now all found their perfect match, Hercule is still awaiting his second chance. Hercule will do best in a secure and spacious enclosure with a regular change of new toys to explore. It’s extremely important that his little mind is kept busy and active to stay healthy!

While at the shelter Hercule has been a little bit naughty with his brothers and had been getting into some squabbles. We think that if Hercule were to live with another male mouse it is important for them to have a large set up with plenty of space to enjoy.

Hercule currently loves to spend his days exploring tunnels, making comfy beds and eating delicious treats. He’ll require a good-quality diet in his new home to assist in maintaining good health and to grow back some missing fur!

Mice can make a great companion and Hercule would be suitable to live with children if they are responsible, and understand and respect his boundaries!

If you have a roomy enclosure, and some love to share, make sure to come and speak with our team.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
