Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Walter and Ray are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Walter
Walter is a young and sociable dog looking for his perfect family.
He is currently working on his puppy school training, and as a young and impressionable puppy, he is showing excellent progress. He can sit and stay, and he is learning more every day.
Walter has a lovable and sweet personality, and he has a habit of charming anyone who stops by his kennel to visit him. He is an incredibly affectionate dog who wants a loving owner willing to give him the time and patience he needs to develop into a lovely adult dog.
Walter would suit a household where his new family wants to include him in their daily activities, including an energetic daily walk and playtime.
Walter just loves spending time with other dogs, and he would settle well in a home with an existing dog. Having another family dog would help keep Walter company while you are out and about, and it would manage some of that young puppy excitement of his.
Bird of the Week – Ray
We would like to introduce you to the charming Ray.
This quirky bird has quickly stolen our hearts at the shelter! Ray is a hand-tame galah who loves making new friends and will happily say hello to anyone who wanders into his aviary. Once you are close enough to him, he will reach out for your arm so he can climb up your shoulder for kisses and cuddles.
Ray came to us as a stray, so we aren’t sure of his age, but given his love of chatting and his comfortability around humans, we suspect he is into his adult years. As a smart, inquisitive and downright flirty boy, Ray will need a home that can give him lots of time and attention so he doesn’t get bored or lonely.
If you’re looking for a charming and lovely bird, come on down and meet Ray.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
