Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Scarlet, Rhett and Salmon are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dogs of the Week – Scarlet and Rhett

Scarlet and Rhett have been Pets of the Week before, but these two beautiful dogs deserve another chance in the spotlight as they are still looking for their perfect match.

Scarlet and Rhett came to RSPCA ACT from sad circumstances and they were understandably nervous upon arrival.

It took some time for them to settle and come out of their shell. However, you will see two vastly different dogs when you meet them now. They are friendly and attentive when you stop by their enclosure, their tails wag in excitement and they’re genuinely happy to have visitors stop by.

They are bonded and have been with each other for a long time. We can’t fathom separating Scarlet and Rhett as they bring out the best in each other. It would also help them settle into your home and be great company when you are not around.

Come on down to the shelter and be the perfect match for Scarlet and Rhett.

Cat of the Week – Salmon

Our big girl Salmon is looking for a quiet home where she can work on her superhero physique.

Salmon is quiet and shy when you first meet her. Even though she is likely to stay close to her favourite spot in her cat tree, she would welcome a slow greeting. Salmon would love to live in a quiet home with someone willing to give her the time she needs to settle.

Once she is settled, she would love to come out for pats and attention while also not so secretly hoping to put in a biscuit order or five. That said, Salmon needs to shed some of her extra weight and although she will try to convince you otherwise, she needs a diet that will assist with weight loss.

Salmon may be the perfect pet for you if you’re looking for a companion who likes to be around but is also happy to have their alone time.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
