By Lachlan Roberts 3 October 2018 0

Firefighters have rescued a dog from inside a burning house in Ainslie on Tuesday afternoon (October 2).

Around 4:30 pm, emergency services were called to a house fire on Paterson Street, Ainslie, with the back of the house ablaze.

ESA spokesperson said there was significant damage to the house and the roof collapsed.

No one was home at the time but crews rescued a dog from inside the house, that is now in the care of neighbours.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing but it is believed not to be suspicious.
