A Banks resident has allegedly been assaulted by a group of men with a firearm following an incident that occurred in Banks yesterday (31 October).

ACT Policing is seeking dashcam and CCTV footage, and is requesting any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to come forward to assist with their investigation.

This follows an incident on Tuesday night (29 October) when gunshots were fired at a Calwell home.

At about 8:50 pm on 31 October, police were called to a residence in Abercrombie Crescent, Banks.

It is alleged that a group of men produced a firearm and assaulted the resident.

It is also alleged the men then damaged a vehicle parked in the driveway before leaving the area in two vehicles.

Police are asking anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who may have dash-cam footage of vehicles driving erratically, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
