The Raiders are warning that their star fullback Josh Dugan won’t be playing football for around a month.
The injury means Dugan, who was selected for State of Origin two next Wednesday, will now be unavailable for the match. NSW officials have been notified.
Dugan said he’s disappointed to miss the chance to play Origin two in Sydney, but said he’d work hard to give himself every chance of being selected for the third match of the series.
“It’s very disappointing to be ruled out with injury but I just have to concentrate on my rehab and make sure I’m right to go for the Raiders as soon as possible,” Dugan said. “I’ll be doing everything I can to get back onto the field for Canberra and get myself back to 100 per cent.
He’s still hoping to be back for Origin 3.
In other Raiders new coach David Furner is, according to the ABC, copping a $5,000 fine for hassling the refs in the loss to the Cowboys.
