Pocket Fox have a new spring in their step! Join the local folk-pop darlings in an evening that celebrates their new single, Heartsong. The launch will take place in the foyer of The Street Theatre. Pocket Fox will headline the evening, featuring performances from The Canberra Swing Katz (local dance troupe), music from The Burley Griffin, and poetry from CJ Bowerbird. The evening will have a Spring Festival atmosphere. It will be a family friendly event, with food, music, dancing and an abundance of flowers and fairy lights.
Doors open at 7 for a 7.30 start. The show is all-ages with an entry fee of $15/10/5 (adult/student/child). Tickets can be purchased here. Entry includes a limited edition booklet and download code for the single. The booklet will feature original artwork from local textile designer Tara Bromham of La Luna Fine Fabrics.
Pocket Fox are a group of multi-instrumentalists who perform original music with a unique flavour. Their eclectic line-up of instruments, emotionally intelligent lyrics and sweetheart harmonies set them apart as one of the most exciting up-and-coming groups in Canberra. Their influences range from Beirut to the Andrews Sisters; from The Cat Empire to Joanna Newsom.
Pocket Fox have been working hard on their upcoming album with local producer Sam King (I Am Merloc Studios, Burrows, The Ellis Collective) and the result is bound to be exciting. Come along and get a taste of the magic this Friday night in an evening that is not to be missed!
