Police release footage of aggravated robbery at Chisholm

ACT Policing has released CCTV footage of a man smashing the doors of a service station during an aggravated robbery in Chisholm. They hope the images will help identify the offender.

Police responded to reports of a robbery at the BP Service Station, located at the corner of Benham Street and Halley Street, Chisholm, at about 4:00 am on Wednesday, 11 March.

The CCTV footage shows the man smashing his way into the shop with a hammer before threatening a staff member and demanding cash. The man later fled the scene on foot across Isabella Drive with a sum of money.

“Police would like to speak to anyone who can identify the man from the CCTV footage, anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police, and anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the incident,” an ACT Policing spokesperson said.
