ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a head-on collision in Pialligo that trapped a woman in her car last Thursday (6 September).

Around 12:35 pm, police were called to a two-vehicle accident on Pialligo Avenue, near the Oaks Estate turn-off.

Firefighters had to extricate a woman from one vehicle, while a man travelling in the other vehicle was also injured. Both were treated at the scene by paramedics and were transported to Canberra Hospital.

The accident caused Pialligo Avenue to be closed in both directions between Sherger Avenue and Oaks Estate Road for around two hours.

Police believe other vehicles were in the vicinity of the collision and are seeking any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
