Dog of the Week, Narla is looking for a home with doggy companions.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ that are looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to shy girl Shylah and ball-loving Narla!

Dog of the Week – Narla

Narla is a seven-year-old good girl looking for ‘the one.’ She’s two months away from turning eight and would love to spend her next birthday with her forever family. This gorgeous girl is hard to fault. She is friendly, loving and engaging with everyone she meets – except cats. She’s unsure of exactly what they are, but she does know she’s unimpressed!

She’s curvaceous, affectionate, friendly and an all-around tennis-ball-loving gal – although bringing the ball back to you is not one of her strong points! She likes most balls! One of her favourite things to do is run around playing soccer with her purple ball. She’s lost a TON of weight while here due to her new found love of sports.

She is a lovely relaxed girl who seems to take everything in her stride, and she enjoys the company of other dogs.

Like walks? This girl would make an excellent companion.

Who wouldn’t want her to be part of their lives?

Cat of the Week – Shylah

Affectionate Shylah is keen to find a home this week.

Meet Shylah! As her name suggests, Shylah can be a little… shy.

She arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now ready to find her final purrfect forever home!

She finds Shelter life a little scary (who can blame her!) with so many people and other animals. Due to this, we’d recommend her for a quiet to moderate home without other animals (at least for the moment). We believe this quiet time will allow her to settle in at her own pace.

Wandering the streets has been a stressful experience for poor Shylah, and as a result, we’d recommend her new family shower her with love and affection (as if you’d need the excuse)! As an affectionate girl, she’ll bask in the attention and will enjoy having a good chat with you in thanks.

Shylah can get frightened easily around quick and loud movements, and it is for this reason that we’d recommend her for a home with older children (12 years and over) or adults who would love to have a couch companion!

Do you have the home she’s looking for? Please come in and say hello, she can’t wait to meet you!

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
