RSPCA ACT’s Pets of the Week – Skippy, Nala & Ligi

RSPCA ACT 24 October 2018

Skippy – the dog that thinks he’s a kangaroo!

We have so many lovable animals looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter, and that is why we are so excited to share our new weekly instalment of ‘Pets of the Week.’

This week, say hello to Skippy the Dog-a-roo and the lovable feline duo, Nala and Ligi!

Dog of the Week – Skippy

Skippy – The dog that thinks he’s a Kangaroo! He may not be a kangaroo, but that doesn’t stop him jumping like one! Exuberant Skippy is looking for his perfect forever home. He has had a pretty tough couple of years and is now ready to find a couch and some love.

Skippy is a very typical Staffy – ready for adventure, but also ready for a snooze! He can be boisterous at times and loves to play. For this reason, we’d recommend Skippy for a family with no young children. He’s very intelligent and has learned a lot of great manners while in our care, however as with all animals; he would benefit from continued training once he leaves the Shelter.

This gorgeous bouncing boy would need an avenue to help him deal with his energy. Walks and plenty of play time would work wonders in tiring him out! He loves chasing tennis balls, but he’s not so great at bringing them back! Skippy gets along great with other dogs. In fact, he’s great friends with one of our other Shelter dogs, Jack Sparrow and would make a great second dog to any family. The ideal family would have an older female dog that would be a great playmate to this lovely lad.

*Please remember, all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
