Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Beanie and Mickey are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Beanie

Meet Beanie! Beanie is a very sweet young lady who has some gorgeous colouring and what we call ‘radar’ ears. Beanie adores people once she gets to know them and would love to find a friendly human or two to call her own. Beanie is looking for a quiet home with some patient people who will invest time into guiding her to be the best girl she can be.

Beanie will best suit a family with older children; however, parental supervision when dogs are interacting with children is always a must. This beautiful girl will thrive in a home willing to allow Beanie to become a member of the family.

Beanie’s new home will require secure 6-foot Colorbond fencing to make sure she is kept safe and happy at home. Beanie is still a young dog at only nine months old, so is looking for some humans committed to teaching her all the great things about play, toys, exercise and training.

Mickey

Mickey is looking for a quiet house to retire too with lots of love to give.

Cat of the Week – Mickey

Mickey is a sweet older man who hasn’t adjusted well to life at the shelter. Mickey is on the look out for a quiet and comfortable retirement home where he can settle down with minimal stress. Mickey would prefer this home to have no other pets or young children as new situations can be very frightening for him.

Mickey is happy to accept pats once he gets to know you. However, his new family will need to be a little patient with him as he requires a lot of time and love to settle into his new home. Being an older gentleman, Mickey will love finding a home with cat experienced people who will be aware of Mickey’s needs.

Mickey will make the perfect addition to a quiet and understanding home. Mickey would greatly appreciate outdoor access through the safety of a secure cat run. This will help ensure he is kept happy and healthy at home.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
