Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Clayton and Hercules are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Clayton

Meet our charming young man, Clayton.

Clayton came into our care as a stray and quickly attached himself to the team. He likes to be close to you, leaning in for licks and as many pats as anyone would willingly give him.

Clayton is a young puppy and has all the bouncy energy you would expect from a puppy. However, Clayton hasn’t quite realised that he’s a bigger puppy and he may unintentionally bowl younger children over in his excitement.

Although he’s a ball of energy, he is also extremely affectionate and has a willingness to learn. He has great focus, and he would settle in well with an experienced owner who can provide the daily physical and mental stimulation he needs with clear and consistent guidelines.

Clayton is happiest when his family members are around, although he will settle quite well when left alone if he has something to do. Clayton would suit a household with an older female dog of a similar breed that could handle his play and goofiness.

Hercules

The one and only, the brave Hercules.

Cat of the Week – Hercules

Meet little miss Hercules. Yes, you read that correctly, a girl named Hercules. She was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of her own and now she’s looking for the perfect companion to call her own.

Hercules is a lovely and chatty young lady and she’ll give a lot of love to anyone patient enough for her to get comfortable and settle into her new surroundings with. Some of her favourite activities are getting pats and spending her time hanging out with you, especially if you felt so inclined to brush her.

Hercules is deaf, and she is wary of other animals. For these reasons, we recommend that she be the only cat in the household and that she is kept as an indoor-only cat.

Hercules is looking forward to leaving the shelter and settling into a new home with her special companion.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
