Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Elsie, Gideon and Homer are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cats of the Week – Elsie & Gideon
Meet senior catizens Elsie and Gideon! This elderly pair were surrendered through no fault of their own, and now these pretty Persians are looking for a new forever home to call their own.
We know this pair are beautiful cats, and we suspect it will not take long for them to find their new homes. However, Elsie and Gideon have significant medical requirements that will require their new families to look after them for the rest of their lives.
Our RSPCA ACT team will be able to discuss all medical needs to any interested adopters upon request.
Elsie is the confident girl of this duo. She loves to be petted and brushed while Gideon prefers to sit back for a little and observe before he joins in on the fun. As flat faced cats, Elsie and Gideon will need a special someone willing to help in the face cleaning department as they can’t reach every corner of their small faces.
Elsie and Gideon will need to be indoor-only pets and would prefer to share their space with only each other and their new humans. If you are interested in meeting this adorable pair, please contact our team for more information.
Dog of the Week – Homer
Homer is a bouncy dog just bursting with love for his favourite humans. But he is looking for that special someone who is ready to spend the time and energy required to settle him into a routine and provide him with a loving forever home.
Homer sees himself on the adventurous side of life: hiking, running, exploring and just generally doing stuff. He won’t be happy left home alone all day, every day so would make a great companion for someone who is able to take him to work on a regular basis.
This gorgeous boy is an Australian Cattle Dog who loves nothing more than a loving scratch. Once you’ve gotten to know Homer, he’ll drop and roll over eagerly awaiting a good tummy rub. This gorgeous boy is looking for someone with plenty of love to share.
Homer has had no previous experience with children and is excitable and boisterous. He would likely suit a home with older children and no other pets.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
