Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Leroy and Azurill are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Leroy
Can you remember Leroy? He’s been Pet of the Week before, but our lovely boy deserves another chance in the spotlight.
Leroy was nervous and shy around people and other dogs when he first came into the shelter. However, he has made significant progress, all he needed was some love, compassion and time invested into him.
He has grown into a lovely dog. He’s sociable and friendly with other dogs, and he loves people. Some people tend to be turned off by big dogs, and Leroy is a big dog. However, if you take the time to get to know him, you will see he’s just a big and gentle young man, who is playful and snuggly.
Like many dogs, he is treat-driven and loves to show you what a good boy he is in exchange for food. Leroy would suit an active owner who can dedicate time to daily walks and activities to help him burn off his active energy.
Come on down and meet the lovely – and very handsome – Leroy today.
Cat of the Week – Azurill
Meet the star of the hour, the lovely Azurill.
Azurill came to the shelter with her family of cats. She was nervous, shy and unaccustomed to domestic life. Our amazing team has been working with Azurill and her family to help build their confidence around people, and now Azurill is more confident each day.
Azurill is a chatty girl who thoroughly enjoys a head pat greeting followed by long conversations. Don’t worry, though. The moment she is done talking to you, she will let you know that it’s time for her to be left alone.
Azurill likes to be the star in your eyes. For this reason, we suggest that she is the only cat in your household. Even though she is a lap cat and likes a snuggle, she would thrive in a household that lets her enjoy her own company until she is ready for time with you.
Do you think that could be you? Come on down to the shelter and meet her.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
