Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Marley, Biscuit and Snuggy are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Marley

Marley has been with us a while now at the shelter, and while we love seeing her big smile and waggy tail, we’d love it even more for her to have a special family of her own. Marley is a particular dog and, for this reason, needs a particular type of family. Some people can be put off by Marley’s hard exterior as she can be a bit nervous among strangers. She might need a bit of time to get to know you, but once she does, Marley transforms into an affectionate and loving girl.

If you’re patient and understanding of Marley, you won’t be able to stop her from smothering you in kisses and getting into your lap! There’s nothing she likes better than to be nice and close to her owner for optimum cuddles and pats.

Marley loves to play games with toys and is even learning how to play fetch. She can become boisterous sometimes during play, so her new owner will need to place some rules around games.

Marley is not a fan of other dogs and will be happiest living as an only dog.

We recommend Marley for a home with no children. Older teens may be alright, but all family members will need to meet this dog before adoption.

Marley’s owner will need to be dedicated to the welfare of this special lady. For the special owner who takes on this gorgeous dog, though, Marley offers a loving reward.

Biscuit and Snuggy

Bold bunny Biscuit and her bashful brother Snuggy are ready to join a loving family!

Bunnies of the Week – Biscuit and Snuggy

These two rascally rabbits are looking for their forever home! Biscuit is the bolder of the two. This plucky lady doesn’t mind being handled by adults or accepting pats from older rabbit-savvy children. Her brother Snuggy, however, is a bit more timid. He much prefers to have his little feet safely on the ground and will need a bit of time to build up his confidence to the level of his sisters.

The bunnies are an inseparable pair and are looking to join a family that can provide them with a safe and secure enclosure, either indoors or outdoors. These two absolutely love to snack and chew through a great number of yummy vegetables, especially a rabbit’s traditional favourite, carrots! Their interest in food also makes them excellent for food-based enrichment play. Try hiding little treats in their enclosure and watch them sniff them out.

Most importantly, these beautiful bunnies need a lot of love and attention.

If you are interested in taking these beautiful bunnies home, please bring a photo of their soon-to-be enclosure and make an appointment with our pet adoption centre.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
