This week’s Pets of the Week are cute pooch Pepper and sweet lady Possum!
Dog of the Week – Pepper
Sweet Pepper is a lovely blue and white girl who has so much to offer to the right family. Cautious at first meeting, Pepper warms up quickly and is ready to share all her love with her new family. This lovely lady is the type of girl that will jump on your couch and settle into your lap, despite her large size.
Pepper loves normal dog things including paddling and swimming (however, she strongly dislikes the hose). Summer will be the perfect time to take her on adventures in the great outdoors. Darling Pepper enjoys her time with our volunteers catching tennis balls out in the yard, daily walks in the area and scratches along her long back.
This lovely lady is a friendly young dog and she’s still a puppy at heart. Pepper has a goofy and fun play style and could suit a home with a similar-sized dog. She is well versed in basic tricks like sit, drop, shake and wait, but would love to learn more things, as long as treats were involved.

Cat of the Week – Possum
Meet Possum! This gentle lady was surrendered to the Shelter after her owners moved overseas, and now she needs to find a new retirement home. In the past, Possum has lived with a single adult with no children. Possum has also shared her home in the past with small dogs and another cat for part of her life.
The team at the Shelter describe Possum as a shy, cuddly and affectionate old lady, loving to spend her time with humans receiving lots of attention and love. Possum needs an indoor-only lifestyle to keep her safe and warm at home.
Possum needs a quiet home that she can retire to. This lady is 12-years-old and needs to find the perfect person to care for her for the rest of her days. If you have the space in your heart for this darling lady, contact the Shelter today.
