Ripley

Ripley is one smiley pooch girl and she’s ready and waiting to find ‘the one’!

Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Ripley and Origami are this week’s Pets of the Week! Two gorgeous animals waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Ripley

This gorgeous girl is Ripley and she’s ready to leave the Shelter and live her life to the absolute fullest! This darling lady is a big dog and she’s spent her months here working with the team perfecting her doggy manners. There is still lots to learn, and Ripley would benefit from a family willing to continue teaching her new things outside of the Shelter.

Ripley loves treats and will make the perfect companion for someone who is committed to her training. This energetic pooch would love to spend her weekends at training classes and meeting some other friendly dogs – especially boys!

Toys and tennis balls are some of Ripley’s favourite things! When she isn’t chewing her rope in her kennel, you’ll find this lovely lady lining herself up in the yard ready to catch your throw. Ripley loves to play, and a family with a large backyard and plenty of love to give will suit this darling dog greatly.

Like any pet, Ripley will need plenty of exercise and enrichment in her life to ensure that she is mentally and physically healthy. She can’t wait to become somebody’s very best friend!

Origami

Looks are deceiving. Origami is a smoochy cat ready to find his perfect match.

Cat of the Week – Origami

Sweet Origami, is a six-year-old former street cat with the powers to melt your heart. Despite his past, this cat has a gentle soul and shows the utmost respect to all he meets. Origami spent some time in foster care when he first arrived, and he was initially cautious of his new surroundings. He preferred to keep watch from a safe-spot behind the couch.

However, in just four weeks he has blossomed into a loving (almost) confident cat. He loves to rush to meet his humans when called, enjoys a chatty conversation, and collapses into a purring mess at the very mention of a chin rub.

Origami loves a few simple things in life, chin rubs, food time, chin rubs, playing with toys and more chin rubs! This sweet boy dislikes the washing machine spin cycle and anything else that makes a similar noise.

This cranky looking but loving cat would like to be an indoor-only cat. He’s best suited to a quiet household without children or other pets. With patience, understanding and the things he loves (chin rubs), Origami will become a well-cherished member of his forever family.

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
