Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Stevie and Silas are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Stevie

Stevie is a super enthusiastic young lady who is ready to step out of the shelter and into the real world. There are a few things Stevie has to learn, including how to put on her best doggy manners. Stevie would greatly benefit from an owner who will invest time in her training.

Stevie absolutely loves her people and will happily squeeze next to you for some warm cuddles and affection. This girl is a ‘people dog’. She would prefer to be the only dog as she doesn’t really tolerate other dogs and isn’t interested in making new friends.

Stevie is a beautiful young girl with great potential ahead of her. She hasn’t shown a lot of interest in toys here at the shelter but we suspect this could change given time, opportunity and a loving forever home to settle in to.

Silas

Silas is looking for a loving family he can move in with.

Cat of the Week – Silas

Meet Silas the cat! This chatty man was brought into the shelter as a stray after someone from his local area noticed his eye was looking a little worse for wear. He was seen by our vet team and after receiving treatment Silas now looks much better and is ready to take on the world – from the safety of his own indoor home of course!

Silas is a social and curious cat, and he loves to explore his surroundings. He’ll enjoy nosily spying on and judging the neighbourhood through any available window. And he loves attention from humans. He’ll happily sit in your lap kneading away or having warm cuddles, but only when he’s not feeling too busy with his other cat duties like being curious, staring at the world and jumping onto bookshelves and the like

Silas loves to say hello when you enter the room but will also happily snooze the day away when you leave. Silas sometimes can get a little stressed, so would be suited to live with older and mature children. As Silas is FIV+, he must live as an only cat and be the only pet in the house.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
