Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Whip and Bette are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Whip

Meet Whip, a sweet and loving dog looking for a loving place to call home.

Whip didn’t have the best start to life. He was moved around from home to home. He’s never truly had a loving or stable home life. Whip is a sweet dog, who loves to play ball games, and loves them even more when he has a human friend to play with him.

Even though Whip loves playtime, he also enjoys sitting beside you for cuddles and pats. He can be timid when experiencing new things, though he is getting better every day at learning and adjusting to new environments. Whip would be well suited to a quieter home where he is the only pet.

Once Whip settles into a new home, we know he will be your new best friend and, without a doubt, you will be his.

Bette

Cat of the Week – Bette

Meet our resident Queen, the magnificent Bette.

Poor Bette came into RSPCA ACT’s care in quite bad shape. Bette suffers from arthritis and she had to have a haircut to relieve her discomfort, much to her dismay. While her haircut may not be the best, she’s still a sweet and gorgeous girl.

Bette likes to be the boss of the household and likes attention on her terms. We describe her as the aloof three pat cat – heads and shoulders only please – though after her previous pain, that’s understandable. Bette loves a good chat with her people and she’ll happily let you know when she’s had enough.

Bette would be best suited to an adult-only household where she is the only pet. She would love to live in household with an older couple or someone younger who likes a chilled out life. All she needs is a comfy couch and a lovely bed to sleep on where she can watch over her people, or loyal subjects as she would like to think.

If you would like to meet our resident Queen Bette, please come on down to the shelter.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!

Heey there! I hope this is some what successful, whip did have a loving home, there was just some threats made against the animals and unfortunately her career overreacted in defending them. I’m trying to find them now that they are in a bitter position in life, obviously if they are happy where they are, they will not interfere, but there was a great deal of mutual love before this incident
