The CT has this story on a 16 year old AIS Soccer player crashing his car on the Tuggeranong Parkway yesterday.

He has a special licence to drive so young due to his circumstances but that didn’t seemt to help when he lost control of the car. Some call it luck, I’m just saying he didn’t die. Its a slow news day.

I’m very curious about these special licences.

it would seem to me that many 16 nyear olds would have a pressing need to drive.

Our american cousins have their own version of the “P Plate Debate”, their one centers around the merits of letting 16 year olds drive…

I’ve never heard of these special licences, I can only assume you have to know somebody in Urban Services or similar to get one.
