Stella and Ozzie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Bird of the Week – Stella
Sweet Stella is a young stray budgie that has found herself at the RSPCA ACT. With no luck finding her owners, Stella is looking for a home to call her own.
Stella enjoys the simple things in life like chirping, talking (maybe more yelling) at staff and other birds around the Shelter. Stella is a little bit friendly and a whole lot of cute. She needs a new home with a spacious aviary or indoor cage with other budgie friends.
This little lady is not quite hand trained and prefers to keep her distance. However, she loves to chat away to people nearby. Please note that photographs of Stella’s new home will be required prior to her adoption.
Pet birds can make excellent companion animals, provided they are properly cared for and have an interesting and spacious environment. Stella would love her new home to have interesting enrichment items such as hanging toys to keep her mentally stimulated.
Ozzie is looking for the perfect person to share his heart with! Could that be you?
Dog of the Week – Ozzie
Shy and a little bit timid, Ozzie is a special young man looking for a very particular home. This boy at first can be a little scared of people he isn’t familiar with and can take a little bit of time to warm up to new faces.
However, once Ozzie settles in and gives you his heart, he will love you beyond any measure. For this reason, Ozzie is looking for a quiet household with no other pets or children to ensure that he can settle in and thrive in his new forever home.
Ozzie would love an energetic household ready to take him on daily walks and play games outside to ensure he keeps happy and healthy.
Ozzie is just a happy little guy who loves to play with a ball. He will chase and play in the yard, even jumping high to get the catch! Ozzie will be the perfect snuggle bug, leaning in for pats and cuddles in between running around and playing outside.

Monday to Friday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Saturdays: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sundays and public holidays: Closed.
Following government guidelines relating to COVID-19, the RSPCA ACT is reducing foot traffic at our Shelter. If you are interested in meeting these animals with a view to adoption, please complete an online application.
