Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Houdini, Stitch and Pleakley are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cat of the Week – Houdini
Our chatty boy Houdini is looking for his forever home.
Houdini is an adventurous boy who found himself in our care after many adventures out and about. His charming and chatty personality instantly enamoured us. He settled into the shelter quite well, though he thrived in foster care in a home environment.
His foster carer loved having Houdini at home. They described him as an energetic and affectionate cat and he looked forward to playtime and zooming around the house.
While Houdini is not a lap cat, he loves being in your vicinity and will gladly curl up next to you for some cuddle time and a chat or two.
Due to his pale complexion and his previous life of adventures, we strongly encourage access to a safe, secure and shaded cat run in his new home. Houdini gets along very well with other animals and would make a great companion to existing pets with a slow introduction. He would be a great cat for a family, having lived peacefully with a young child in foster care.
Don’t miss out on your chance to add Houdini to your home.
Rabbits of the Week – Stitch and Pleakley
Bonded pair Stitch and Pleakley are ready for their next adventure.
Stitch and Pleakley came into the shelter as strays together. They absolutely love each other, spending most of their time side by side. From the moment they came into the shelter, they were curious and friendly. They enjoy meeting new people and always come out to say hello. Stitch and Pleakley are striking-looking rabbits with their white coat and ruby red eyes. They would make lovely companions to any household looking for rabbits.
Due to their pale complexion, they will need to be indoor bunnies or have a very shaded outdoor enclosure to protect them from the sun, which can be quite harmful to many pale coloured animals.
Stitch and Pleakley are waiting for their loving new family to come and take them on their next adventure.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
