A 15-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital in a stable condition after a car collided with him on Isabella Drive at around 10.30am this morning.

The boy was stabilised at the scene by intensive care paramedics and transported to The Canberra Hospital.

ACT Policing received a call at 10.37am and the ACT Ambulance Service attended the scene soon afterwards.

Traffic was blocked on Isabella Drive in the direction of the Monaro Highway from the roundabout at Kellett Street after the accident, though the road was expected to reopen early this afternoon.
