Rioter arescarti42 spotter this wonderful little ad on AirBnB.com.au. This couple have a nice room in Harrison available for a “good looking female” who “would have an adventurous and very curious mind”.

if you’ll excuse me I feel very dirty after reading this and might need a shower.

On the plus side they are offering them access to the NBN, so maybe I need to check my prejudices, put on a dress and an accent, and apply.

..you may be straight, bi or curious, you must be single, open minded & live an alternative liberal kind of lifestyle, and love all lifes physical and other pleasures, so write to us and tell us about yourself.

Does anyone else find it odd that the couple need to import someone? The ad gives me the creeps. I have images of the person ending up stuck here, having their passport taken and being locked in that room where they are subjected to the couples’ “friends” on a regular basis. Wouldn’t be the first time that kind of thing had happened here.

I wonder if they can get them out here on a 457 Visa????

Now that’s below the belt!

#2 Sounds like something Keith Moon would’ve been into!!

Sounds like two consenting adults seeking an additional adult. So ease up on the prurience, people.

You live in Harrison, and you have a spare room. I claim my $50 prize.

It’s waiting for you in the spare room…

Of more interest to me is, how does one ‘stumble’ over such an advertisement.

I have a friend who happened to be…..oh well, you know.

Actually I was reading an article in the Fin which mentioned the website, thought it a novel concept, and decided to see if anyone was renting their rooms in Canberra.

This. So long as they’re not committing any crimes, it shouldn’t be an issue for anyone.

OUCH! That’s cruel.

We don’t have a spare room.

😉

Imagine if one of us knew them !!! Canberra is a very small city you never know. Wonder how many responses they have had (yuck!!!!!) And yes I was wondering about the children too.

Don’t you love the way certain straights use the word “curious”? It’s a bit like saying “I’m not gay, but…” No wonder the survey in 2003 showed that although only 2% of Australians identify as gay, 45% say they experience “some homosexual activity”.

Winning 😀

So what do the children refer to the houseguest as? Is it the nanny or “mummy and daddy’s special friend”?

Photo looks kind of old too. Perhaps taken before she popped out 2 sprogs and settled down to a mediocre suburban life in Harrison. Surely it’s only fair to give interested parties an up to date look at the goods.

I’m a straight definitely uncurious bloke who loves all of lifes physical and other pleasures so I seem to fit at least some of the selection criteria for this gig. Not being female might be a bit of a hindrance, but they sound open minded so that shouldn’t be a show stopper. I’ll have to drop ’em a line…

I wonder how they would explain it to their two kids..

If I was a good looking female, I wouldn’t even bother. Clearly misleading! That room in the pic definitely isn’t king sized! I would also question the “young couple” with a photo that appears to be from a good 15+ years ago..

Or a marriage made in heaven for the male who’ll have his hands full 🙂

LOL. I remember that skit.

I wonder if they’re RIOTers? It’d be fun to see how it works out.

Remember that recurring skit on one of the long-dead skit shows, with an unsavoury couple? Magda Subansky was the female member, in a neck brace…. yeah, that one.

Reminds me of that. shudder.

and Peter Moon?
