Night sky fills with smoke after car catches on fire in Hall

Clouds of smoke billowed into the night sky after a car caught on fire in Hall last night.

At 12:46 am, ACT Fire and Rescue received a 000-call about a car on fire at the intersection of the Barton Highway and Victoria Street, Hall.

One fire pumper attended the scene and put out the fire that had spread to nearby grass. Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident but would not comment further at this time.

No injuries were reported and ambulance services did not attend the scene.
