Around 9:30 pm, emergency services were called to Majura Primary School on Knox Street, Watson to find a school building had been damaged by fire. Following an analysis of the scene, police are treating the fire as suspicious.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who noticed anyone acting suspiciously near the school on Monday night.

This is the latest vandalism in a spree of attacks across Canberra schools this year, prompting calls for CCTV cameras to be installed in public schools to combat such incidents across the Territory.
