Police investigating reports of child approach in Woden

Police are calling for witnesses to come forward as they investigate reports that a child was approached in Woden this morning.

At around 9:45 am, ACT Policing received reports of a potential child approach near a school in Woden.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said the incident is being investigated and police are speaking to a number of witnesses.

If you become aware of an incident or notice anyone acting suspiciously around a school or child, contact police immediately on 131 444. In the case of an emergency, call 000.

Anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6439785. Information can be provided anonymously.
