Police face-fit of the man believed to be approaching children in Belconnen.

ACT Policing has warned Belconnen parents about a man in a white sedan approaching school children in the area.

Police are investigating several incidents in the Belconnen area in which the man approached students before and after school in the suburbs of Melba, Flynn and Fraser.

ACT Policing said police had stepped up their presence in and around these suburbs, and were seeking to identify the man who has been depicted in a face-fit image.

The man’s vehicle has been described as a small, white four-door sedan that possibly has black louvres on the rear window.

ACT Policing said it was working closely with the Education Directorate, who remind parents and guardians to help children understand the importance of stranger safety and reporting any unusual approaches immediately.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
