Police seek witnesses to alleged hit-and-run on Barry Drive

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of an alleged hit-and-run that occurred on Barry Drive near the ANU last Sunday (8 April).

The incident occurred around 2:30 am, near the Willow playing fields next to Barry Drive.

ACT Policing said the man was hit by a Subaru Forester, who failed to stop, while he was walking in the bike lane on Barry Drive, heading towards Belconnen.

The man was assisted by a member of the public who transported him to a hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Subaru Forester is believed to be a dark blue or black 2004 model.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information about the incident or the vehicle, or have any dash-cam footage that could assist police, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
