A whole host of events are taking place around the city this Sunday to celebrate International Women’s Day. Dorothy-Jane, Kim Yang, Lisa Maps, and Lucy Ridge & The Derby Widows head up a huge lineup at the Polish Club with an open jam session to follow. Over at the Canberra Theatre Centre, Kaiit and Shoeb Ahmad join Seeker Lover Keeper and locals Moaning Lisa.

Spacey Jane returns to Canberra this Thursday for their third visit in four months. With each of their previous ventures to the capital (and basically every show they’ve played in the past 12 months) being a very sold-out affair, you might want to get on tickets for this one as soon as possible. Support comes from the excellently named Sydney punk band The Buoys and local indie heroes Sputnik Sweetheart.

Canberra post-rock band Lost Coast launch their new, self-titled album this Friday at sideway with hashshashin and Peach Lane. The record is an immersive listen, taking the listener on a journey through slowly evolving sonic landscapes. Fans of Sigur Rós and Explosions In The Sky will feel right at home with our city’s finest purveyors of musical texture.

Elsewhere, CC: Disco and What So Not are both in town this Saturday night, and Groovin The Moo has teamed up with Girls Rock! Canberra to take over The Polish Club for a free all-ages show at The Polo on Thursday night featuring Sesame Girl, Cathy Diver, Sophie Edwards and Neko Pink.
