The music landscape is dominated by bushfire fundraisers this month, as Canberra’s artists put their support behind fire-impacted communities. Fiction is hosting Denis Sulta on Friday night, with proceeds going towards the NSW RFS and Wires Wildlife Animal Rescue. Across town, Moaning Lisa, Citizen Kay, ARCHIE and Sesame Girl are set to play to a sold out Polo at the aptly named Fire Fight.
Slow Dial kicks off its residency at Transit Bar this week. The local party rockers will be joined by Flash Anthem and Sydney’s Goose Neck as they celebrate the new decade. Earplugs are advised.
A trio of local acts in Paint Store, Deputy Chief Wardens and Sesame Girl are heading up Back To Front on Wednesday night. The show will be preceded by an open mic, meaning anyone and everyone is encouraged to jump up on stage.
