Buffy - RSPCA ACT

Big smiles from the adorable Buffy!

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for their forever homes at the RSPCA ACT shelter!

This week, say hello to gorgeous Buffy and the beautiful bonded pair Madeline & Maxwell!

Dog of the Week – Buffy

Buffy is a gorgeous Kelpie with one of the biggest smiles you have ever seen! She loves long walks and has a passion for tennis balls.

She’s a lovely 3-year-old girl who has substituted sheep for tennis balls. Buffy loves nothing more than to chase and chase and chase her ball, guaranteed to bring it back and drop it at your feet every time!

Buffy needs a purpose in life. She LOVES walking and running, making her the perfect training partner! It isn’t too late to kick start those fitness goals!

Due to her working dog breeding, it is essential that Buffy receives a high level of exercise on a daily basis.

This gorgeous girl has lived with children previously and would prefer to be an only dog.
We recommend Buffy for a family with children 8 years and older.

Cats of the Week – Madeline & Maxwell

Madeline and Maxwell

Bonded pair, Madeline & Maxwell.

Meet Madeline and Maxwell!

They arrived at the Shelter with another cat, Molto who has already found his forever home. Madeline and Maxwell are hoping to find their new home together.

These two absolutely love one another and they are often found snuggling at the back of their enclosure, next to or on top of each other. For this reason, they will only be adopted together.

Madeline first found the Shelter to be overwhelming but once she found her voice, she really found her voice! Madeline is a beautiful soul that loves a chat. She will let you know when she would like a pat or some attention.

Madeline helps persuade Maxwell out of his “safe spaces” to meet people but he is very affectionate when he comes out!

Maxwell is a bit of a clumsy, gentle giant. Once he has warmed to you, he will seek you out for his back scratches and chin rubs.

While they are still coming out of their shells, they would be best suited to a semi-quiet home.

Children around the age of 10 may be considered depending on their experience with cats and their interactions here at the Shelter.
