Meet our lovable pets of the week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Enzo, the Rottweiler-German Shepherd cross, and Fish, the cat, are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These lovely animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Do you think that could be you? Read more about them below!

Dog of the Week: Enzo

Look at this big, beautiful boy. His smile is huge because he has lots of love to give. He’s currently our adorable goofball, a friendly guy just waiting to be your best boy.

Enzo is a Rottweiler-German Shepherd cross. He’s fun to play with and will be just as fun to train. He’s already shown us an aptitude for learning new things, and when he misses out on something, he gets all sooky (which is insanely cute).

He’s not yet 18 months old, so he’s still a puppy. He spent his formative years on a rural property and he’s new to living in suburbia, but we’re confident he’ll adjust quickly. He’s already shown us he likes to go inside.

We think Enzo will become a great pet. He’ll learn fast and be loyal to his family. He should be OK with another dog and teenagers, too. Come and visit Enzo, and you’ll love him right away!

Cat of the Week: Fish

Fish

Don’t let the name fool you – Fish is actually a cat. Photo: RSPCA ACT.

Fish has spent his early life being cared for by one of our amazing cat experts on staff. He’s only 16 weeks old, a genuine example of a perfect pet and ready to become your own personal cuddle monster.

He’s a handsome Domestic Short Hair with a propensity to completely ignore your personal space and swoop in for attention and cuddles. He loves people, and if you have a big family, that would be even better.

Fish is an indoors-only cat, and he wouldn’t want to be too far away from you anyway. He loves to play, and his gentle and affectionate purrs will send you drifting off into a night’s sleep so good that Jeff from the Wiggles would be jealous.

His foster carer described Fish as funny, clumsy and incredibly affectionate, so why wait? Drop by our shelter and meet him today, he’ll be the puuuuuurfect addition to your home.

Pawnote: Some of you have heard of or met Jack, our black Lab cross who’d been at our shelter for a considerable amount of time. We’re overjoyed to tell you he and his new owners are smitten and he’s found his forever home. We still have roosters, though.

Visit RSPCA ACT today at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life. You won’t regret it!
