Independent Meaghan is ready for her forever home.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to the independent Meaghan and handsome Roger!

Cat of the Week – Meaghan

Sweet little Meaghan!

Meaghan came into the shelter a few months ago, pregnant and scared. After a complicated birth, Meaghan was put into foster care to look after her two kittens. Now, her kittens are all grown up, and she’s finally ready to find her forever home.

This special girl is looking for a specific home that is the perfect fit for her. She is quite independent and is not the type of cat to actively seek people out for affection. Despite this, she’s more than willing to keep you company as you go about your day. When approached by people whom she knows, Meaghan is very affectionate, rolling around and kneading the air while lapping up the pats and chin scratches.

Meaghan is in need of a mature family (no children or other pets) where she can continue to build her trust for people. She’d enjoy a home with a set routine, so she knows what to expect and when to expect it. Miss Meaghan is in need of an indoor home to keep her pretty white nose sun-damage free!

This lovely young mum has stolen the hearts of her foster carers, and we can’t wait for her to find the perfect family where she will blossom into the beautiful, yet independent, companion we know she is!

Dog of the Week – Roger

Good looker Roger is ready to find ‘the one’.

At just one-year-old, Roger has a lot of love to give. Unfortunately, this poor boy hasn’t had the most stable life so far, but we’re hoping to change that.

Big, boisterous and very handsome, Roger is lacking some manners – but is working hard on improving these for his new family. Roger loves having a run to stretch his legs and is also enjoying his daily walks. This gorgeous boy would do well with someone looking for a fur-family member who will continue his training and give him plenty of love!

Really, he’s just a big goofball who doesn’t realise his size! As a result, we’d recommend Roger for a family with children 12 years and older.

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
