Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Diesel and Bluebell are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Diesel
Diesel was sadly surrendered to the shelter by his owners when they could no longer care for him due to illness in the family. He is a lovely and shy young dog who would benefit from some general confidence building by his new owner. When Diesel feels comfortable with people, his whole body wiggles with delight and excitement; it’s rather charming to see.
Diesel would suit a quiet home, with older kids or no kids at all. He is a cooperative boy who walks beautifully on the lead; however, he would thrive with an experienced dog owner who could help with his development.
Diesel previously lived with another dog, which he thoroughly enjoyed, although he’s been selective in making friends at the shelter. We would recommend Diesel be homed as a single dog at this stage, but this could change as he becomes more comfortable in his surroundings.
Cat of the Week – Bluebell
Bluebell is a sweet girl who found herself at the shelter as a stray. She settled in with the team easily and loves spending time with people. She’s chatty and runs to you when you walk into the room, then starts rubbing all over you.
Bluebell loves giving attention to all the staff and volunteers who spend time with her at the shelter. She happily sits on your lap and snuggles in for cuddles, purring deeply with joy. She truly is a girl who wants to be around her humans.
Bluebell, however, does not get along well with other animals. She dislikes them and will get quite worked up when they are near. The moment she can’t see another animal, she relaxes back into her charming, human-loving self.
Because of her dislike of other animals, we will need to adopt her into a household without other pets. This green-eyed beauty will make a loving companion for any person looking for a solo furry friend.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
