Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Pat, Jess and Panettone are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Cats of the Week – Pat & Jess
Pat and Jess are two very best friends, and you may recognise their names from a very familiar postman and his sidekick cat! These cute cats were found wandering the streets of Canberra together and are now looking for a home where they can settle down and live their lives.
It isn’t abnormal to find these friends snuggled up together, or mere inches apart. They love to groom one another, but like any healthy couple, appreciate occasional ‘me time’ as well.
This duo are friendly and inquisitive and will approach people when they feel like it but are also interested in doing their own thing without human interference. Pat and Jess would prefer a quieter home but could live with young sensible children if they know how to understand their boundaries.
Pat and Jess could suit a home with a dog, but preferably no other cats (trust us these two will be all you need)! Pat has some medical needs as he has a low-grade heart murmur. Our staff can provide more information to any potential adopters.
Rabbit of the Week – Panettone
Panettone arrived at the Shelter with his littermates, and after some much needed tender loving care, is looking for a forever home to call his own. Named after pastries, this little litter of buns have had no experiences of a loving home! For this reason, they will be best suited to homes ready to provide them with plenty of love and patience.
Panettone’s ideal family will be experienced rabbit owners willing to trial slow, regular and careful handling to ensure he can become a friendly and well-socialised rabbit! While his siblings love the idea of living with each other, Panettone is the odd one out and is looking for a home where he can live as an only-rabbit.
This little fluff ball will need a spacious home with lots of room for him to exhibit natural behaviours such as digging and playing. Please note, prior to adoption our staff will need to see photos of the current set up of his future living arrangements to ensure that he will be safe and secure in his new home.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
