Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Socks and Xavier are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Socks
Meet Socks, who you might recognise from the Region Media News Update last week.
Socks is a lovely, young and energetic dog. He is a Cattle dog x Kelpie who absolutely loves being around people. He is a highly intelligent dog who is eager to learn how to be a good boy for a family. He is a little jumpy and he’ll love to give you licks, kisses, sit on your lap and bury his face in your neck.
He would thrive in a household with an active family that can put some time and effort into his training, which would allow him the best start in life.
At less than six months of age, Socks has great potential with good dog-to-dog skills and the ability to respond positively in many situations with just a little positive guidance and encouragement. You might even say he is a trainer’s delight. Come on down and meet Socks at the shelter now.
Rooster of the Week – Xavier
Meet the friendly and loveable Xavier.
Xavier is a striking looking Chinese Silky Bantam rooster. This handsome little man is not your average rooster. He loves to spend time with his humans, whether following you in the yard, scratching for insects or having a lunchtime chat and cuddles in the sun. He is happy as long as he has company.
Although he loves people, Xavier would be so much happier with a little flock of hens of his own to make friends with. He would love to find a forever home with a large yard or property where he could dust bath and strut around showing off to his new family.
If you have a fluffy flock looking for a sweet new addition, come out to the shelter and say hello to Xavier.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
