Scullin crim gets lucky

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred at the 5 Star Supermarket in Scullin last night (Tuesday, 17 September).

Around 8.30pm, officers from Belconnen General Duties were conducting a patrol of the Scullin Shops when staff of the 5 Star Supermarket approached and informed the officers of the robbery.

Just prior to the officers arriving, the offender entered the supermarket armed with a knife and made demands for cash. The staff member complied with the demand and handed over a sum of cash.

The offender fled the supermarket in an unknown direction.

The offender is described as Caucasian, around 5’11” (180cm) tall, short blonde hair with light brown eyes. He was wearing dark brown or black coloured clothing and a black bandana over his face.

Police are urging anyone who may have information relating to the robbery to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
