This week’s Gig Guide photo features Kid of Harith, who will be playing alongside an acoustic version of Okinawa Girls this Saturday from 1 pm. Kid of Harith will be performing his new album, due to be called ‘Sick Joke’, after having just recently come out of rehab for serious medical reasons. This one is not to be missed!
Keep your eye out for shows on at The Phoenix, as they continue to try and raise funds for one of Canberra’s favourite local music institutions. Friday will see a huge fundraising effort with the legendary TV Colours back on stage, alongside California Girls, Dog Name, Little Lunch, Territory and Danger Beach. The 2XX LocalnLive Bootlegs will also be on the Tuesday, starring Chasing Nimbus, Hopeless Youth Group, Tremelo Please and Jack Lafayette Collins.
Other big shows include indie pop sensation The Postmasters playing at the Polo with Greg’s Intervention, Slow Dial and Hopeless Youth Group, as well as all weekend the Soundout International Music Festival will be on at the Drill Hall Gallery, with an exciting lineup of free improvisation, free jazz and experimental music.
