Last night the Canberra Musicians Club had its 4th birthday at the O’Connor Polish Club.
As has been the club’s way there was original music, there was dancing, and being at the polo there was polish beer and honey vodka in abundance.
Long may it last!
I first saw this car, near Scrivener Street, on Saturday afternoon with a marked police car and a forensic team in attendance inspecting the damage.
When I went past this afternoon and noticed it was still there I thought it worth snapping a pic for the RiotACT archives.

As I was driving home at 10.50pm Wed (5 April), I saw a parked car ahead of me with a small yellow flame appearing to come out of the rear left side window. By the time I was driving past the car, it was obviously on fire and after I’d dialled 000 and got out [...]

A problem for a bar refit as thin as a coat of paint is that Matt can both be defamed, and can then correct the record with nothing more complicated than a set of keys.
But while at Duxton last night (living down the road from a decent pub makes it a frequent place to meet [...]

I just went for a walk and found a grave dug near the scout hall off Boronia street in O’Connor, complete with a single child’s thong (but no corpse, fortunately) and some very sweet stencil art near the wetlands off Boronia street. This was hard to photograph.
Each letter is marked with a [...]

All Bar Nun might be dead and lamented but, while the horny handed sons of toil beaver away to create whatever it is that will take over the site, the Inner North drinker at least still has a corner to sit on in O’Connor.
Much of the All Bar decor has re-appeared in Marinetti’s.
When I was [...]
Last night was last drinks at All Bar Nun in O’Connor.
