Fossil Rabbit is featured on the RiotACT Gig Guide this week! Fossil Rabbit will be marking his return from overseas with TWO shows this weekend, bringing his beloved electronic vibes back to the nation’s capital. Check out his Bandcamp page here. He will be collaborating with Alicia Sparkles on Thursday as part of Soundscapes #22, and headlining on Saturday night at Smith’s Alternative, playing along with other electro-greats Happy Axe and Reuben Ingall. Welcome Fossil Rabbit back!
There are a lot of releases this weekend, with Scroggin releasing new material at Smith’s on Thursday, Wives launching their excellent new album ‘Doomsday’ at The Phoenix on Friday, as well as Mulgara hosting the launch of folkie Buddy Dingo’s new 7″ ‘Mortgage and A Mower’, with help from Lachlan X Morris, The Careerists, Jayne and Jim Dusty.
Steve Grieve and The Mourners will be launching their new album ‘Caterpillar Maze’ at the Polo this Saturday, while over at the Phoenix, Ruth Carp and Dead Brian will be releasing a joint EP, ‘Unholy Matrimony’, with Signs & Symbols, The New Party and My Pet Ant. And make sure to check out the 2XXFM LocalnLive Bootlegs Sessions at the Phoenix on Sunday from 7 pm, which will be THE FINAL ONE… for a while at least. And it’s got a big line-up to wrap things up – GhostNoises, The Get Downs, Kid Of Harith and, Melbourne’s finest, Fuzzsucker!
