Three juveniles arrested for burglaries in Latham

Police have arrested and charged three juveniles for stealing a car in Latham yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:20 pm, police responded to a report that a green Hyundai Accent was being driven by two young people in Latham.

When police located the vehicle, three young people attempted to flee but they were caught a short time later and taken to Belconnen Police Station. Police allege the three youths admitted to their involvement in two other burglaries in Latham.

According to police, a 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl have been identified as driving the car.

Police have seized the Hyundai, which contained property stolen from the two burglaries. Police also allege that a 12-year-old boy was in possession of stolen property.

The three juveniles will be summonsed to appear at the ACT Children’s Court in relation to two burglaries in Latham and stealing a motor vehicle.
