ACT records 560 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 560 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 234 identified by PCR and 326 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 35 people in hospital, including one in intensive care being ventilated.

The number of ACT residents aged 12 and over who are fully vaccinated remains steady at 98.6 per cent while 62.9 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received a booster shot.

NSW recorded 5582 new cases and 21 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 4867 new cases and nine deaths.
