Driver assaulted and robbed in Page

A ride-share driver was assaulted and robbed in Page yesterday (2 February).

Police said that the car was stopped in a carpark at the Page playing fields on Burkitt Street at about 5:30 am. A man then opened the car door, assaulted the driver and stole cash before running from the scene.

Police have described the man as having a thin build, wearing a dark hooded jumper and speaking with an Australian accent.
