Knife pulled in Glebe Park mugging

A group of young men mugged two people at knifepoint in Glebe Park in Civic on Saturday night (17 February).

ACT Policing said that at about 8.50 pm the two people were walking through Glebe Park in the direction of Cooyong Street when they were approached by three young men, one of whom produced a knife and demanded their wallets, money and mobile phones while another searched their clothing.

A wallet and mobile phone were taken and the three young males were last seen walking through Glebe Park in the direction of Bunda Street.

Police described the three men as:

  • Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, of slim build, and wearing a hat and T-shirt
  • Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall, of very slim build, shirtless and wearing jeans
  • Middle Eastern in appearance, shorter than the other men, with dark hair, with his left arm in a sling.

Police are calling for witnesses or anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information can also be provided via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
