Man taken into custody after alleged stabbing in Chinese restaurant

A man has been taken into custody after an alleged stabbing at a Weston Chinese restaurant.

A spokesperson for ACT Policing said officers were called to the premises on Brierly Street after hearing reports that a worker had been stabbed.

Another man was taken into custody and has been assisting police with inquiries, they confirmed.

Police say inquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.

Orient Kitchen in Cooleman Court was closed for the afternoon.

The alleged victim’s condition is unknown at this time.
